The immaturity and lies kept coming from the Conservative war room today, which really doesn't come as a surprise to most. Stephen Harper and his crew have proven to us again that they are willing to do anything, including flat out lying, to try to win. Today's prime example was posted on their website, in a release called "Jack Layton insults troops". Yeah, classy stuff. I don't think I need to go into great details as to what might have been said in there, but let's just say I'm surprised that

I think there is more confusion around the candidate’s proposed tax plans than any other issue in the election. The confusion stems from the Republican brand of being the party of lower taxes, a poor job by Democrats and the media of presenting the facts and misrepresentations by Republicans.

This correlation between being easily startled and assuming a certain political posture is really something to think about. But the study design leaves out how one person's startle-threshold shifts from day to day but political opinion doesn't usually.
